These terms are the agreement between you and Attuned. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If something here is unclear, email support@attunedapp.io and ask.
Attuned is not therapy, and not medical care
This is the most important thing on this page.
Attuned is a wellbeing tool for couples. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, psychiatric care, or a substitute for any of them. It is not delivered by licensed professionals, and no clinician reviews what it says to you. Nothing it tells you is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a clinical recommendation — including anything it says about menstrual cycles, mood, sleep, stress, or your relationship.
Its guidance is generated by AI. It can be wrong, it can be poorly timed, and it can miss something important. Use your own judgement, and consult a qualified professional for anything that matters medically or psychologically.
If you are in crisis
Attuned is not an emergency service and nobody monitors it in real time. If you or your partner are in immediate danger, or thinking about suicide or self-harm, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now.

Attuned may point you toward these services, but it cannot contact anyone on your behalf, and it cannot tell whether you are safe.
Attuned is not for relationships that are not safe
Attuned assumes two people who both want the relationship to work. It is not designed for, and should not be used in, relationships involving abuse, coercion, or control. Its features — nudges, shared insight, a partner who knows when to check in — can be turned against someone in that situation.
If you are experiencing abuse, please reach out to a domestic violence service in your country rather than relying on this app.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need a valid email address you control.
- One account per person. Do not share an account with your partner — the entire design depends on each of you having your own private space.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping access to your email secure, since that is how signing in works.
Pairing, and what your partner sees
Attuned works by pairing two accounts. What your partner can and cannot see is described in the Privacy Policy Terms of Service, and it is the core of how the product works — read it.
Either of you may end the pairing at any time. Doing so does not delete either person's data; it stops the two accounts being connected. If you delete your account, your partner is told you have left and returns to a solo account, keeping their own data.
What you put into Attuned
Your journal entries, messages, and answers remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to send it to our AI providers so they can generate responses for you. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and our AI providers' terms exclude training on data sent through their APIs.
Do not put other people's private information into Attuned without their knowledge. Your partner has their own account for their own words.
Things you agree not to do
- Use Attuned to harass, monitor, coerce, or control another person
- Try to access another account, or another person's data
- Probe, scrape, or attack the service, or work around its limits
- Use it for anything illegal, or resell it
We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Beta software
Attuned is early software. Features will change, break, and sometimes disappear. We may change or discontinue any part of the service. If we shut it down entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data before it goes.
Pricing. Attuned is currently free while in beta. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you before you are charged anything, and you will be able to decline and keep using or leave with your data.
Availability
We do not promise the service will always be available or error-free. It depends on third-party providers — hosting, AI, email, push notifications — and those can fail. We try to keep it running and we do not guarantee it.
Your data and ending your account
You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is scheduled seven days out so you can cancel, and the full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Limits of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Attuned is provided as is, without warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make about your relationship, your health, or your life based on anything the app says. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months or $50.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Attuned after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction — except where the law of the country you live in gives you rights that cannot be overridden, which it may.
